I shall start the ball rolling, since i believe i chose to share on Job..
One thing that most certainly struck me after reading Job was how despite all the suffering and losses he went thru, he chose to still praise God and hold on to his faith..
Though the ppl close to him questioned his faith in God, he still chose to hold on to God..
Something else that struck me was that in chap 32 where Elihu, the younger man spoke.. how he was angry cos Job justified himself more than God.. how Job was concerned more about his own reputation of righteousness.
Sometimes I tend to look to me, I, and that's not the right attitude.. it's not what I have done.. but what is God doing thru me.
Whatever God has given, belongs to Him, not me.. I came to this world with nothing.. all that I have were given by Him.. even if he takes them back, it's kind of like the parable of the talents.. how God has given to us talents and we are to use them wisely.. we are but stewards of what He's given us.. we don't own them.
May all that I do honour Him.
Naked I came from my mother's womb and naked I will depart.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away
May the name of the Lord be praised ~ Job 1:21
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name in the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name when I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be Your name
Every blessing You pour out I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name when the sun's shining down on me
When the world's "all as it should be"
Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
